December 24, 1881
HARPER'S WEEKLY December 24, 1881. Front full pg. Nast illus. of "Caught." (Santa Claus). Inside are two 1/4 pg. illus. of "Electric Railway at Berlin, Prussia" and "The Ring Theatre, Vienna, Recently Destroyed by Fire." Dblpgctrfld. by Nast entitled "Christmas Fancies - 'Don't You Wish You Wore Stockings?'." Two 1/4 pg. portraits of "The Hon. Frederick T. Frelinghuysen, Secretary of State" and "The Late John W. Forney." 1/3 pg. illus. of "Short and Sweet - 'It's Too Too Too Funny!'." 2/3 pg. illus. entitled "The Interrupted Journey." The supplement contains a 2/3 of a dblpgctrfld. of "Steeple Chasing."

This issue does have some dampstaining in the margins, but the two double page images and the Nast Santa print are in very good condition.  The last page of the supplement has some damage to the advertising page (see images), but this is inconsequential since the supplement is often not even present.
