THE LONDON GAZETTE, May 8, 1712 The back page carries a detailed description of man by the name of Charles Guill who worked at the Bank of England and had "withdrew himself...with several Exchequer-Bills and the following Bank Notes...". More information on a reward for his apprehension is in the article.
