SOCIAL JUSTICE, Royal Oak, Michigan, four issues dated Jan. 1 & Feb. 5, 1940; Sept. 8 & Oct. 20, 1941. This was a newspaper published by Father Coughlin in the 1930's & early 1940's. It was controversial for printing antisemitic pieces. Coughlin claimed that Marxist atheism in Europe was a Jewish plot against America. After America's entry into WWII, Coughlin's broadcasts were ended by the National Assoc. of Broadcasters & in 1942 the newspaper ended under the Espionage Act of 1917 as part of the Attorney General's efforts against 'vermin' publications.
Tabloid-size, 20 pages per issue, various wear at the margins with some margin tears.
